Latitude XFR D630

Latitude XFR D630

The new Latitude XFR D630 is going to be one of the toughest laptops around, what Dell is calling the "fully ruggedized" notebook. Dell claims that Latitude XFR D630 performs 23 per cent faster than the competing Toughbook models and it aims at pitching Latitude XFR D630 against Panasonic’s Toughbook line of notebooks. In fact Dell says on its website, "23% greater performance than Panasonic’s CF-30".

With a sealed keyboard, impact resistant SSD hard drive and a 14.1" wide monitor Latitude XFR D630 is surely aimed at outdoors use. Whereas most LCDs have 300 nits, the LCD of Latitude XFR D630 has 500 nits lighting; SRGB standard is about 80 nits. Weighing 8.9lbs before you add extra, it’s quite a heavy machine.

According to Dell: "XFR D630 is designed for reliable performance in the harshest environments, it exceeds the strict military standard, ML STD 810F, for extreme temperatures, shock/drop, moisture, altitude and more."
