Nit

The candela per square meter (cd/m²) is the SI unit of luminance. A unit of measurement of luminance, or the intensity of visible light, where one nit is equal to one candela per square meter. Nit is the measurement of display screen brightness. 1 nit = 1 cd/m2. The more nits, the brighter the picture. Nits are used to describe the brightness of computer displays, such as LCD and CRT monitors.
