Extend the battery life of your laptop
Mar 11, 2008 1 Comment »
The laptop is after all to be moved around. There are many places where you cannot connect your laptop to the power and you have to run it on battery. You run the risk of running out of the laptop battery charge if you don’t take measures to preserve the battery life.
First of all, dim your laptop screen as much as possible. I’m not suggesting that you dim it so much that you go blind after a few days, but since the laptop screen is the biggest hogger of your battery, keeping it less bright sustains your battery life.
After this, check if some things are running needlessly and stop them. It could be a program using system resources or some hardware that could be allowed to run when there is enough power.
Of course the best way to prolong the battery of your laptop is not using your laptop.
